For School Leaders

Daphne Donald brings immersive life-skills practice to your school—with the adult controls, safety architecture, and reporting you need.

Is Daphne Donald Right for Your School?

Schools adopt Daphne Donald when they want learners to practice real decisions in a supported environment, not just read about them. Our games let students navigate work scenarios, financial choices, conflict resolution, and ethical questions—each with immediate consequences and reflection, not judgment.

We work best as part of your existing SEL (social-emotional learning) or career-readiness program, not as a replacement. Teachers assign individual missions (25–45 minutes) or run extended sequences. School leaders see aggregate participation and practice patterns, never individual snapshots stored on servers.

Right fit for your school

  • You want to build decision-making skills across K–12 — launch content ships in the ages 9–12 mode with a reading-level toggle, and more age modes are on the roadmap.
  • You're looking for sustainable self-serve tools your teachers and families can use with minimal training.
  • You value accessibility from the start and want proof—not promises.
  • You need to move quickly through procurement without lengthy pilots if you choose to.

Not the right fit

  • You need a replacement for clinical assessment or mental-health intervention.
  • You require real-time, per-learner achievement dashboards for standardized accountability (we show participation and practice patterns; we don't generate compliance proof).
  • Your procurement timeline requires solutions that are already in every classroom you have.

Safety Architecture Summary

At launch

Daphne Donald has no accounts and stores no student data. Teachers share a link with learners; learners play in a browser and answer reflection prompts at the end. Nothing reaches our servers. This means:

  • No student data collection, even anonymized.
  • No advertising, behavioral tracking, or enrollment data sold.
  • Your FERPA obligations are unchanged—we stay outside them.
  • Your IT security team has nothing to audit on our side.

For future features (multiplayer games, progress reports)

When accounts arrive in a later phase, student accounts will be adult-created only (no self-registration), communication will be preset-only (no free text or off-platform contact), and six-month data retention is mandatory—with automatic deletion and backup purging after six months, no indefinite warehousing.

Reporting today

When multiplayer and progress features launch, teachers will see which practices students engaged with and which supports they used. We will not generate per-student outcome claims or compliance statements. School leaders will see aggregate trends only—e.g., “25 students in grades 7–8 practiced financial decision-making this quarter; 18 used extended-time supports.”

Accessibility + Accessibility Conformance Plan

Built-in features on day one

Our accessibility commitment

WCAG 2.2 AA is our floor, not our goal. This means tests for keyboard access, color contrast, screen-reader compatibility, focus management, and responsive design are built into every release—not added after launch. Before each game ships, a special-education teacher and an accessibility specialist review it against our rubric.

VPAT and conformance reporting

We produce a full VPAT (Voluntary Product Accessibility Template) covering WCAG 2.2 and Section 508 standards. When you request it, include your procurement questions and timeline; we'll respond with our current conformance detail and a completion timeline.

Evidence Model: Practice, Not Outcomes

Daphne Donald reports what learners practiced, not what they “achieved” or “mastered.” This is a deliberate design choice.

A learner's summary after playing City Choices (our financial-decision game) might look like:

We report the thing the game actually observes: what the learner did, in what order, with what help. We don't infer confidence, competence, or readiness. We don't generate a score or compare the learner to peers. Every school leader and teacher can see this evidence; no proprietary algorithm stands between you and the raw practice data.

Standards Mapping (Not Alignment, Not Endorsement)

Our games map to several frameworks that schools already use:

We map—we document which practice in each game sits inside which standard. We don't claim endorsement by these bodies. We don't promise that playing our games will make your school's test scores go up. We practice the skill; evidence of learning comes from your own assessment, classroom work, and long-term observation.

Pilot Request

Interested in a 4–8 week pilot before making a purchasing decision? We're building a pilot program for fall 2026. Email us with your school name, role, grade range, and which life-skills areas you're most interested in—we'll follow up within two business days with a timeline and any questions about your specific needs.

Pilot scope

Up to one classroom (30 learners) for 4 weeks, one game per week, teacher follow-up guides included, no student data required from your side, no cost, feedback surveys at the end. If you want to expand after the pilot, we move directly to a school license.

Procurement Packet

We've designed a school package that includes licensing terms, a sample teacher-implementation guide, privacy/FERPA documentation, and our VPAT. It's available on request today. We'll complete a full packet in Phase 4 (fall 2026) with our complete product catalog; until then, we provide what's relevant to the pilot and initial license.

Request the packet

Email support@daphnedonald.com with your procurement email address and any specific questions (budget code, procurement timeline, your district's template requirements, etc.). Response time: two business days.
